Villagers feared the worst when their friend went missing on Sunday. Where they found him was horrifying.
The lifeless body of Akbar Salubiro, 25, of Indonesia, was found inside the belly of a 23-foot python, the Daily Mail reported.
Salubiro had gone to harvest palm oil, but never returned. Friends and family looked for him, but stopped after finding a bloated python in Salubiro’s backyard, according to the Daily Mail.
One friend used a 18-inch knife to cut the snake open to find Salubiro’s body swallowed whole, according to the Daily Mail.

The village secretary, Salubiro Junaidi, told the Daily Mail, “people had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found.”
Junaidi added, “when the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake.”
Reticulated pythons are known for suffocating victims before swallowing them whole, the Daily Mail reported.
